I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Brown University. Much of my work focuses on the role of race and identity in the formation of political attitudes. I am interested in the ways that identity structures politics in the United States. My research has been published in outlets such as the American Political Science Review, Political Communication, and Polity. Before joining Brown, Marques received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Rice University.
